did you ever go and ride on a hot day or awet day? throw your boots in the gear bag---go home and the next time you rode the boots hurt hurt your ankles? measure your ankles at the bone take that measurment and go get a piece of plastic tubing.stick it in your boots--buckle them down and next time you use them they wont bother you at the benb point of your ankles. we have agreat web site members use it

Hello everyone, I'm the new guy, Mark Crookston. I fell in behind Lee on the way out to the 100's race this weekend. Having never raced in the desert or even been out to Spangler I was going in eyes wide open.....The generous offer to pit for me turned into me becoming a member of the Badgers.....Thank you Jay and Lee for taking me in and the encouragement. Steve, Bee and your wives, you made me feel like one of the gang. Thank you.
The race was everything I expected and more. A lap and a half on a flat slowed me down a little but I was pleased with my performance and expect to have even better days in the future.
I will proudly wear my colors and represent.

I am going to do the RUTS race. Anyone up for a caravan or car pooling?

 Thank you again!!

 Mark Crookston

Hi members
Guess we all made it back home and are recovering from a long weekend.
The race worked out well without to many problems I guess----other than the prez losing club equipment that I found in the middle of the road. Next year He will do better---he says? All for now---maybe next year we won`t have the slight breeze some of us saw as a nuisence.

I finally got all signed up so I will start race reports again.

I'll just mention an event from the Rover race. The next time you see or talk to Shane Allen be sure to ask him if he knows how to properly install a goggle lens. I'm sure he will look at you with somewhat of a grin! Here's why. Shane hasn't raced it quite some time. After pitting, putting on a fresh pair of goggles and heading out on the second loop, Shane noticed it was really dusty and kept using his roll offs until he was out of film only a couple of miles into the loop. You might ask him if it was really that dusty. But I am sure he will tell you it was dusty, however forgetting to remove the protective film from both sides of the new lens makes it pretty hard to see! Rookie mistake Shane and you told us too!!!

As some of you know I raced the SCORE San Felipe 250 with the O'Neal Team and we won the 50 Pro Class. Just a few days ago I received a call and was invited to race the Baja 500 for the O'Neal Team. I accepted so wish me luck. The race is the first weekend in June.

I won't be going to the Vikings National or to Primm for the GP. The family and I are going on a cruise. So if you race be safe.

*ASA and ORBA have announced their support for the Feinstein desert bill in its current form.

*Discussed whether D-37 should utilize "email blasts" for distributing point standings, race flyers, results, etc.  Need feedback.

*Desert Vipers M.C. is considering applying to rejoin the district.

*Lobby Days in Sacramento is Monday April 26, 2010.

want to welcome new club members: Tom Albright and Steve and Betti Bishop. Our yearly race preperation is on schedule and things are looking good. I will be calling everyone to confirm when you are coming out. If you want to order our new club shirts call me at 661-2422712. They are mucho trick and would great to wear on race weekend. Steve Williams was asked to ride on the O'neal Baja team and raced this weekend ; not sure how they did at this time. Les Willis is recovering well after recent surgery due to injury at our race last year. Recent D-37 info: There is movement to bring back the catalina grand prix with D-37 being main sponsor. Desert Vipers are trying to get back in the district-must pay $18,000.00 fine first. They are thinking about it. Adelanto G.P. is no more. Racers M.C. is belly up. Thats about it. Be sure to call me Re: club shirts. Don't send E-mail. Thanks, Jay Wickers
